The opportunities to celebrate National Farm to School Month this October are endless! Designated by Congress in 2010, National Farm to School Month is a perfect time to get started with farm to early care and education initiatives.

The Administration for Children and Families has released the final rule for CCDBG/CCDF.  You'll find some resources from ACF and some possible organizations to follow as they ramp up to service your needs.  This will impact you - educate yourself.

The CACFP Take Action Challenge had a huge impact on not only my program practices, but the children in my program. They have become more excited about our health and nutrition curriculum, more willing to try new foods and have just became healthier in general due to new practices I have implemented.

Federal funding for child care is an important piece of the puzzle. Without these critical funds, too many children, particularly those from low-income families, will not have the chance to participate in the high-quality experiences that they need. These funds are also about licensing, training, supports, and about including family child care in early care and education systems and ideas in the states. These funds are about you, your work, and the children and families who are counting on you.
