Today the US Department of Health and Human Services announced the preliminary selected grantees of the Early Head Start - Child Care Partnership grants. The goal of this program is to improve access to high-quality care for toddlers and infants.
49 states will receive 435 million dollars to take part in this endeavor. There is a list of organizations categorized by state so you can see who/what is a preliminary grantee. It was an involved application process so if you are a part of a community that one of these organizations is in, be sure to extend a high-five, even if it is virtual!
Also, ask if there is any way for you to participate in the program that the organization is going to implement in your community. They may be looking for child care sites or additional consultants for their new programs.
