We're Excited about the National Association for Family Child Care Conference (NAFCC)

Are you going to the National Association for Family Child Care conference?  Minute Menu and ChildCareInfo.com are and we are so excited to see the child care professionals that attend this conference.  I have been to several conferences and to-date this is one of my favorites.

Pre-conference sessions begin on Wednesday which will be wonderful.  Have you ever been to the ribbon cutting ceremony and exhibitor preview on Thursday evening?!  Oh, what fun!  2 years ago I could hear the laughter, singing and chanting from the exhibitor hall.  I so badly wanted to see what was going on.  Exhibitors are exuberant to help you kick off 2 full days of learning, congratulating and networking.  You can feel the excitement in the air. Minute Menu and ChildCareInfo will be at a booth 400 to welcome you to your conference with some goodies.

Then on Friday, we'll see you in between your sessions, in the exhibit hall at booth 400.  Please come by and share with us what you are learning at the conference, what you want to see from Minute Menu Kids Pro and get the opportunity for your business to be featured on ChildCareInfo.com!

Our Workshops - Have Fun Learning With Us

Saturday is a big day for us!  Saturday afternoon is when we get to share with you different aspects of our expertise.

  • Cindy Vian's workshop "Using Minute Menu Kids Pro to Manage Your Business" will cover hot topics affecting those of you in the child care industry as well as a special guest!  Share your hot topics in the comments below and they might make it into the workshop.  Get an overview of how Kids Pro can help you effectively manager your child care business.
  • I am doing an interactive workshop about this very website, ChildCareInfo.com.  It's called ChildCareInfo.com and You!  You'll get to play a guessing game and get the opportunity to be a star.  Of course you have the chance to win prizes too.
  • I'll also be doing a workshop called "Free Online Resources" about using the web to help you run your business: for example making a professional looking website--yourself, finding amazing and fun resources to use for your child care business and using certain google resources to maxmize your business needs.

Learn more about the conference by taking a look at the NAFCC Conference Registration Brochure.

Like I said, we are SUPER excited to see you all soon.

Samantha Marshall, M.A.

Samantha is, just like you, excited to make a difference in our community and our world. With a Master of Arts degree in English Literature, you might ask how she found herself building and writing for a website focused on child care. From 1995 through 2001, Samantha started her career working for Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) sponsors which introduced her to the importance of non-profits, community and quality child care. Her experience with Sponsors, State Officials, and Family Child Care Providers left a great and lasting impression. Later in her career and her most recent position at SAGE Publications, an academic publisher, was as a product manager for a new online resource! During this time many of Samantha's passions collided. A love for the written word, children and the proliferation of knowledge as well as a fascination with the resources the internet gives us, building a community for child care on ChildCareInfo.com is the perfect way to make the difference she wanted to. Needless to say, she is very excited to be an active part of creating and building ChildCareInfo.com.
