I am now 47 years old. I would like to stop working in the next 15 years God willing. How can I start putting something aside and have it grow.

The simplest way to start is to invest in an index fund that tracks the entire stock market. Such funds track the Wilshire 5000. Large index companies such as Fidelity, Vanguard, and T. Rowe Price all have funds that track the Wilshire 5000. I've written a book Family Child Care Money Management and Retirement Guide (www.redleafpress.org) that has details on how to start savin for retirement. See also my blog - www.tomcopelandblog.com
