More CACFP New Meal Pattern Resources

Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Sponsors are working hard to help their CACFP centers and providers get ready for October!  The month in which the changes made to the meal patterns by USDA in 2016 will need to be implemented into the programs nationwide. There is a period of time called a “transition period” in which meals will not be deducted in regard to the new meal patterns.  This will take place October 2017 through September 30, 2018.  To learn more about this read USDA’s memo or ask your CACFP Sponsor.

We wanted to share with you some more materials that have been recently published.  And don’t forget, the CACFP Implementation Library, maintained by the Child Care Food Program Roundtable.  This library has resources that USDA, states, sponsors and other organizations have been creating to help us train and understand the changes that need to be made in order to successfully meet the new rules.
